The Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (The Federation), formally inaugurated on 1st September 1997, is an amalgamated body of the 3 former schools sports organizations and currently, it has been registered as a company limited with a charitable status.  The Federation, the overall controlling body of school sports in Hong Kong is administered by the Board with the Secondary School Sports Council and Primary School Sports Council looking after their respective secondary and primary schools programmes and related issues, and the External School Sports Committee taking care of the Jing Ying, Inter-port as well as international school sports competitions.

Over the years we have established a feeder system (including selection and training) with most of the national sports associations (NSAs).  It provides our student athletes the quality training required for them to achieve higher performance in the All China Secondary School Students Games, inter-port and other international competitions.  In addition, those potential athletes will be able to feed to the NSAs, to prepare them for higher level of competitions in future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the immediate Executive to execute the implemented policies.

  2. Organise and manage sports competitions, events and fixtures.

  3. Coordinate and provide support to different parties involved in planning and execution of competitions and programmes.

  4. Convene various sports management / technical and selection committee meetings and provide secretarial support.

  5. Liaise with member schools, committee members, sports convenors, referees, media, sponsors and NSAs for the conduct of training and competition programmes.

  6. Responsible for webpage design and updates.

  7. Handle general accounting matters and prepare budgets, financial statements and reports.

  8. Accompany Hong Kong, China Schools Teams for International, National and other programmes whenever required.

  9. Handle venue bookings and liaise with venue officers.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. An accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution / a Higher Diploma from a polytechnic university or polytechnic in Hong Kong or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent;

  2. A minimum of two years’ experience in related field preferable;

  3. Good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua;

  4. Proficient in MS Office applications, Sharepoint and Chinese word processing;

  5. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;

  6. Diligent and detail-oriented, self-motivated and good team player;

  7. Good project management skills, multi-tasking and able to meet tight deadlines; and

  8. Required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends.


- This post is subvented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department with salary of HK$28,507 per month
