Rugby for Good Assistant Project Manager (1-year contract)
This position is funded by Laureus. Experienced candidates may be considered for a Project Manager position.
About the Role
Rugby for Good (RFG) is seeking a professional and responsible Assistant Project Manager to help manage key Sport for Development Projects, promoting and sustaining the growth of inclusive programs in the community. The role involves supporting children from subdivided housing to build social skills and integrate into the wider community, as well as managing a variety of education through sports training and activities.
Job Responsibilities
Project Planning & Management: Plan, manage, and coordinate a range of trainings, tournaments, and community integration activities, ensuring innovative and engaging content delivery.
Team Supervision: Supervise the coaching team and manage administrative duties to keep projects on track.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including families, community partners, schools, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure smooth service delivery and resource sharing.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Support:
Support the collection of monitoring and evaluation data across different RFG programs.
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into MEL systems/tools.
Assist with basic data checking and organization to prepare for analysis.
Generate simple summary tables and charts for team reporting needs.
Help maintain participant databases and ensure information is up to date.
Monitor and track programme activities and results.
Programme Reporting:
Manage programme deliverables to sponsors or funders, and prepare regular reports on outcomes and challenges.
Marketing & Communications: Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent and effective brand delivery.
Ad-hoc Duties: Handle any other project or administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Operations.
Qualifications & Experience
University graduate in Social Work, Education, Sports for Development, Project Management, or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ management or leadership experience in sports for Development or social services. Experience with schools/NGOs and MEL processes is a plus.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Creative, proactive, and able to lead a team.
Comfortable with MS Excel/Google Sheets for data entry and basic analysis.
Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
