Olympic Solidarity Athletes Career Transition programme - Athlete 365 Business Accelerator - Opportunity in Entrepreneurship for Athletes & Olympians

International Olympic Committee (IOC) cordially invites all athletes to join the “Athlete 365 Business Accelerator” programme, a collaboration between the Olympic Solidarity – Athlete Career Transition Programme and the Yunus Centre, that aims to empower and train athletes to become entrepreneurs.  The teaching medium of the programme is English and the whole programme is structured in three stages with details listed out as follows:

 

Stage 1: Online course (available to all athletes, free of charge)

All athletes interested in becoming entrepreneurs are invited to benefit from a 6-week online course available on Athletes365, the IOC platform specifically dedicated to athletes. All athletes can access to this free course via the below link that offers content related to entrepreneurship and provides key tools for the launch of a business.

Remarks: Simple pre-registration on Athletes365 is required.

 

Stage 2: Incubation (20 Olympians per continent having completed stage 1)

The second stage is called “incubation”, Olympians who have completed stage one (the online course) are eligible to apply to participate in a 2-3 day continental workshop delivered by experts and specialists in this field in order to receive further knowledge and mentorship on entrepreneurship. Olympic Solidarity will cover the travel and accommodation expenses for the workshops. The application to benefit from Stage 2 – Incubation will be available on the OS online platform as from beginning of July 2019. The workshops will be organised on all five continents between end July and September 2019 and the exact locations will be communicated at a later date.

 

Stage 3: Acceleration (personalised coaching and mentorship for a limited number of Olympians selected from stage 2)

Finally, in stage three “acceleration” a limited number of Olympians, selected on the basis of their project proposals, will receive dedicated and personalised coaching and mentorship for six months for the implementation of their project. Olympic Solidarity will also fund this phase in due time for the selected Olympians.
