Assistant Manager - Community Sports

This role will support the planning and operations of sport programmes being run by Kai Tak Sports Park and Kai Tak Sports Initiative. This role has a heavy coordination, and events operations focus, to ensure that the planned programmes are delivered to a high standard.

Job duties:

  • Support the Community Sports Services team in all logistic and operations planning and delivery of planned sport event and programmes.

  • Be the contact point of assigned projects and liaise closely with different working partners, content delivery partners, contractors, government agencies and Kai Tak Sports Park teams.

  • Work closely with content delivery partners and contractors.  Monitor their quality of work and measure their performance and outcomes.  Ensure that the sport programmes are delivered according to standard and meet required schedules.

  • Prepare high quality pre-event presentations, generate post event reports, including the tracking of Key Performance Indicators such as attendance, number and types of sport events and programmes, effectiveness of the programme delivered, etc.

  • Oversee social media platforms of Kai Tak Sports Initiative from creating compelling content to planning digital campaigns to engage the target audience.

  • Propose and implement sports programmes and Kai Tak Sport Initiative programmes, in accordance with the pre-set goals, objectives and budgets; and

  • Support the Kai Tak Sports Park teams on other various events, programmes and projects.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management or related fields.

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in event management and operations, ideally with a sports focus.

  • A positive attitude and dynamic approach, with the ability to adapt to change.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and build relationships with a diverse range of people.

  • Strong attention to details with thorough planning, organisational and time management skills.

  • Proven ability to work in a high-pressured environment, with competing priorities, stakeholders and deadlines.

  • Skills in using different types of computer programs (word, excel, powerpoint) and administrative tasks required.

  • Ideally fluent in Cantonese and English.

  • Passionate about sports, a big plus.
